We had never embarked on a building project and were nervous. We requested a quote from GECC Ltd to knock through a wall for kitchen diner and also to extend and were struck by Gary’s professionalism and knowledge. Within days the quote was prepared and once accepted, a programme schedule was sent to us. By and large the schedule was adhered to and all deliveries and deadlines were coordinated smoothly by Gary and Steve the project manager. The whole team under Steve were brilliant. Very experienced and works were completed to a very high standard. There was minimal disruption and the team went out of their way to help us eg. washing machine availability for most of the build. Steve even cleaned the site on a daily basis. I would like to thank the company for bringing our dreams to reality and would highly recommend them.
Gary and his team completed a single storey extension for us a few years ago, and when we moved house and needed a kitchen redesign, we didn’t even consider anyone else to do the project. Excellent communication from start to finish. Everything was co-ordinated seamlessly. We got Gary and the team to design and build a single story extension with a new open plan kitchen-diner, plus a conversion of the old space into a utility room and downstairs bathroom. We are so happy with the end product, which was completed not only on schedule, but also to a high level of quality. Steve the PM keeps you up to date with progress and sorts out any tricky unforeseens. Gary was also very reasonable about the final Cost considering the amount of obstructions they found in the ground and how many times we had to tweak the design on site to make it work. It will be ten years this Autumn since I moved in to my house. Even then I had plans for how my little 2-up 2-down end terrace could be extended to meet the ever demanding and growing needs of me and my two daughters.
Twelve months ago landscapers dug up my garden – a clay pit – and transformed it into a stunning outside sanctuary. The project wasn’t completed because at “some point soon” I was determined I was going to have my extension as the house had suddenly become too small to contain us any longer.
I didn’t even consider any other contractors. Gary and his team were on to the finishing touches of my parents’ grand design. The end result was stunning and to such a high standard that there was no reason to “shop around”. Plus I’d met most of the team and liked the cheeky humour matched with an overwhelming dedication to meet expectations and fulfil even the most pedantic requests (mostly my mum’s!)
Work on my two storey side extension and extended kitchen-diner began in October and completed in February. To say my dreams have come true is an understatement. Every morning and before bed I stand in my fabulous new kitchen and I have to pinch myself because it’s even better than I imagined. It’s all we could ever want and need and we love it. My daughters now have a bedroom each so the threat of imminent death has been averted at least until the teenage years! But regardless we now have our forever family home – the space inside now matches the stunning view outside.

I’m a single mum who works full time but throughout the build I felt like a member of the team. I was always consulted and was kept fully informed as to what was happening next and who’d be arriving on any given day (I think that was something to do with making sure I brewed enough tea!) This was really important to me as I was then fully confident in asking questions, making decisions and also seeking your advice because I always felt like it was your priority to ensure I was getting value and quality for my money. I also really appreciated knowing that you were always at the end of a phone, text or email keeping me informed.

I hired GECC to manage extensive renovations to our house, to include internal building works, electrics, plumbing, bathroom installation, plastering and decorating. The progress was constant and ongoing, the workmen were exceptional and they took incredible care of the property while on site. I watched Gary and his team completely refurbish an old house in the village that I live in. I employed GECC to renovate my newly purchased house. I approached various builders from the local area to quote for the work, and I must admit that I was most impressed with GECC (and in particular the owner Gary) right from the onset. Gary’s approach to the project was extremely professional and after 30 minutes with him the initial ideas he came up with were amazing. I had little idea of exactly what I wanted and basically asked Gary to design me something that he thought would be suitable for me. Gary completely redesigned the upstairs of the house, knocking down walls, building walls, moving the bathroom, installing a full walk-in shower the likes of which I have only seen in top hotels – these are all things I had never even considered when I purchased the house. The piece of work which has really made a difference is the under-floor heating system he installed. What a wonderful alternative to radiators! Thank you Gary, a great idea of yours!!
I must also comment on Gary’s employee’s – what a credit they are to his company. They were all extremely courteous and hardworking, and have done a wonderful job of turning a shabby house from the 1930’s into my new home.
Gary also did a great job of keeping me updated on progress and always asked for my opinion whenever there was a small change to the original design. As well as the construction work Gary did on the house, a nice option for me to have was his Interior Design team. They did an excellent job of choosing the décor for the whole house and made the house ready for me just to move in. Perfect for somebody like me who isn’t too good at that type of thing!
The whole project was delivered ahead of schedule and more importantly, on budget and the final finish is to extremely high standard.

Having just had GECC to build us a bespoke porch, oak framed garage and oak gates, I felt compelled to write a review. From the initial design stage, through to the build and then to the final fitting, we have been extremely pleased with the friendly, professional service Gary and his team has provided. The craftsmanship of GECC’s work has dramatically improved our property. We would have no quibbles in recommending them to others.
We first used Gary Earp in 2014 for a farmhouse extension after being recommended by our architect, he stuck to the quote given and his staff we very helpful and kept a tidy site, the finish date slipped because of Christmas and the weather. The finished job was excellent and there was no snagging. Since then we have used him on other properties and will not hesitate to use him and recommend him in the future.
GECC converted my triple garage and loft into a luxurious, beautifully finished reception room with bi-folding glass doors looking out onto the garden, a kitchen, loo and games room with staircase leading up to en-suite bedroom. Last year we employed GE Construction Ltd to build a kitchen extension and patio area, and I must say we are delighted with the end result.
Gary Earp wasn’t known to us before we employed him and from his very first visit it was very obvious to us that he was very professional, had very high standards and high expectations from his team. We discussed our plans in depth and everything went like clockwork under Gary’s supervision.
We were initially worried about having a team of tradesmen around the house for three months however it was no problem at all. The team arrived promptly at 8.00 am every day and left at 4.30 pm leaving everywhere clean and tidy. There was no smoking on site and no bad language. His team were very polite, considerate and conscientious taking great pride in their work.
Gary was always around and was happy to help with any queries that we had and to advise us on any issues that arose during the project.
Since the extension was completed Gary has been back to check that everything is o.k and for piece of mind we know he is only a phone call away.
