PHASE III: CLAY RENDER
Once the wireframes have been completed we then move forwards to create a ‘clay render’. The clay render is a process of creating more depth to the existing model by pushing and pulling at the currently flat faces, making voids for windows and doors then modelling the specific windows and doors to fill the gaps.
The purpose of the clay render is to allow the client to see the design without any texture, ensuring that all details within the model are correct. By keeping the render texture-less it is easy to see something off that would otherwise be hidden by variation in a texture such as a low ceiling, protruding wall etc.
NEXT PHASE: ‘TEST’ RENDER
Following the clay render, texture is added to create a ‘test’ render. More details soon.
